Potassium polyacrylate for drilling fluid

Main ingredients

Potassium polyacrylate (KPAM) for drilling fluid is mainly copolymerized with potassium acrylate and acrylamide. It is used as an anti collapse agent for water-based drilling fluids and also has a certain effect on reducing filtration loss, some of which increase viscosity.

Nature and Use

This product is a white or light yellow powder, easily hygroscopic, soluble in water, with good heat resistance and high viscosity after dissolution.

1. Used as a drilling mud additive in the field of oil drilling, such as wall protector, wellbore stabilization, formation mud making, and water loss reduction.
2. The rheological properties of drilling fluid can encapsulate drilling cuttings and inhibit formation mud production.
3. The presence of potassium ions can prevent the hydration and peeling of soft shale and hard brittle shale, and play a stabilizing role in wellbore stability.
4. It has a good effect on reducing filtration loss.
5. It has good compatibility with other treatment agents and can be used in non dispersed drilling fluids and dispersed drilling fluids.
6. Strong temperature resistance ≥ 180 ℃.

Usage

Just mix it directly into the drilling fluid.

Recommended dosage: 0.5% -1.0%.
